I believe that life is like a movie, some stories are like fairy tales, others thrillers. You don’t get to choose your story and neither did Luke Grimfield. Every town has its secrets; hidden mysteries covered up from the public. All of the mysteries of this town, Easthollow, were to be unraveled with a death, the death of Luke Grimfield. He was found early one morning laying on a biology desk at Raven High, the school he went to. He had a gunshot wound on his heart and a gun in his hand. Mr. Peters was walking into his biology classroom when he came across this unfortunate incident. He immediately called the police who rushed to the school along with three other families, the founding families, as well as Luke Grimfield’s parents. The founding families had been around since the town's creation and always knew what was going on in this town. Amongst these families were the Elizabeths, Jeffersons’, and Angels. As they stared at the body, believing it was a suicide, there was one girl that thought otherwise. Olivia Elizabeth was staring at the body in astonished disbelief. She knew that the cops were going to close the case as suicide but Olivia knew that this wasn’t a suicide but a murder.

After a week of waiting, hoping that the police would try and dig deeper into this case, she realized that wasn’t going to happen. Olivia Elizabeth decided to take matters into her own hands. She had watched enough murder mysteries to know, her first order of business was interviewing her biology teacher, Mr. Peters. She was editor of the Raven, the school newspaper, which was the perfect cover. She had told Mr. Peters that she was writing an article about the murder to bring peace to the Grimfield family. As she entered the biology classroom, she saw the tall teacher dressed in his usual vest and khaki pants sitting at his desk. She went to sit in the chair which was placed at the other side of his desk, with her notebook in hand and pen stuck behind her ear. She immediately took the pen, prepared to get as much information from Mr. Peters as possible. “Could you describe what you saw as you entered the classroom that day?” She asked Mr. Peters. “Sure, but I already told the police,” he said. Olivia waited for Mr. Peters to speak. He started speaking after a sigh, “I came into school on Monday, around 5:30 to prepare the crickets the class was going to observe that day. They needed to be feeded and I had a lot of extra work to do.” “Was anybody here when you got to school?” Olivia asked. “Nope, well there was the janitor but he gets here everyday around 5:00,” Mr. Peters said, “I unlocked my classroom to find Luke Grimfield dead on one of my biology desks. I immediately called the police.” “Is there any way that you can think of how Luke got into the room to begin with?” Olivia questioned. “Yes, maybe, a window was open, it was closed when I left on Friday so it is possible that Luke may have opened the window to get into the room,” Mr. Peters answered. This was surprising to Olivia, the window had been closed when the families entered into the school. The only people that could have closed it were Mr. Peters or the police. “Did you close the window?” asked Olivia. “No,” Mr. Peters thought for a second, “to be honest, I don’t remember anyone closing that window, but I was very stressed due to the circumstances so it could have been possible that one of the officers closed the window.” “Okay thank you so much, I just have one more question for you,” Olivia paused, “I know that you have assigned seats in your class, and that Luke is in your class.” “Could you please tell me who sits there during Luke’s period?” Olivia asked in the nicest way possible. She needed this answer. “Sure” said Mr. Peters without hesitation, he opened one of his drawers and pulled out a binder, “Theodore Jefferson sits at that desk.” Olivia thanked Mr. Peters for all of the information and was prepared to walk out of the door when Mr. Peters said, “I really hope this family finds peace, there have been too many deaths in this town.” Before Olivia could respond the bell rang and children started flooding the classroom. She had no choice but to leave, with questions spiraling in her brain. The janitor was there when the body was found, meaning he could know something. Theo was one of her good friends, there is no way that he was involved in the murder, was he? Who closed the window? Who opened the window? What did Mr. Peters mean by “too many deaths”? She thought that this was the first one.
